She is the author/illustrator of “A Horse named Steve” and “The Imposter,” and illustrator of “Sloth and Squirrel in a Pickle”.  Like Douglas, Kelly would love to learn the secret to being a proper dragon … if only to help her toast hot dog weenies in record time.

Nancy Young M.Ed. is a Canadian educator who has extensive experience working with children of various ages and learning needs.  Currently, Nancy supports educators by providing professional development in the areas of reading and writing instruction. She is particularly interested in instruction for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and giftedness. Nancy is the creator of The Ladder of Reading & Writing© infographic. Nancy is also the author of Secret Code Actions™, a book she wrote that provides ways to enhance phonics instruction by weaving in skill-based movements.
