Where Are You Going Butterfly?, from Reycraft Books, Promotes Community and Interconnectedness

The picture book shows how people of all ages and from all walks of life can have a positive impact on society.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY, Sep. 3, 2024— Leading children’s trade publisher Reycraft Books is pleased to announce the publication of the new picture book, Where Are You Going Butterfly?, written by Hunter Liguore and illustrated by Glenda Sburelin. Published on September 3, 2024, the book introduces readers to a young girl living in poverty and without a home, whose spirit brightens when she spots a beautiful butterfly. Chasing after the insect throughout her neighborhood, the girl touches a number of lives during her unexpected adventure.

As the story begins, the girl is asking passersby for spare change. She feels invisible, not part of society. But, as readers will discover, the girl still has a life, a grand imagination, and the ability to contribute to her community in a positive way. When she sees the orange-and-black butterfly fluttering around and starts to follow it across town, she ends up helping an old man, an artist, a mother and her children, and a restaurant owner. The girl’s acts of kindness will not be forgotten, nor will they go unrewarded.
